Welcome to the adventures of Baxter and The Roo. As you'll see from the pictures, Baxter is a 4 year old lab and The Roo is my 18 month old son. They have loads of fun together. Hopefully you'll have just as much fun reading this blog as we do watching the two of them play. Enjoy!

Play Ball!

We went to Oneonta, NY for Mike and Jessica's wedding.  Roo did pretty good in the car considering what a terrible rider he is.  The weather was beautiful, considering it was August, and we had a lot of fun seeing family.  Roo was so good at the wedding; he stayed up way past his bedtime and was still really easy going.  We spent some time going to Cooperstown too.  He and dada got matching Red Sox t-shirts.  He also had a ton of fun pushing around his stroller.  One of his favorite moments was watching a bunch of motorcycles drive by, they just captured his attention.  On the way home, a very kind woman reassured me that he would indeed slim down once he started moving around more, because, you know, we were so worried!  All in all, it was a great trip and we all had fun!

Vacation is Pukey!

We took what we thought was going to be a nice relaxing week long vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  Roo had other plans.  He came down with a double ear infection and was a pukey poopy mess.  Poor kiddo had a high fever and just wanted to sleep on mommy and daddy all week.  We debated driving home early but decided against it and tried to enjoy the time we had away.  At least we got a lot of cuddle time in, even if the trade off was a ton of icky laundry!  This was a vacation we'll never forget!

4 Months Old!

Here are a few pictures of Roo when he was four months old.  He was really enjoying that Mountain Dew, it kept him up well past his bedtime!  He absolutely loves his Jumperoo and it helps us get him nice and tired before bedtime.

Merry Christmas

The morning of Roo's first Christmas was spent driving around in the car so he could get a good nap in.  He was a little cranky when we opened presents and but had fun.  Later that day what I now refer to as the 'grandparent intervention' happened.  All of the grandparents thought it was time for us to stop driving Roo around to get him to sleep and that it was also time for him to stop sleeping in the swing and start sleeping in the crib.  After less than 15 minutes of crying, Roo fell asleep in his crib and took a really long nap.  This is about when he started sleeping all the way through the night.  The grandparents were just lucky that Roo was ready...and that we were tired enough to try this method.
